Electric Guitar

Composer, arranger, guitarist, singer and multi-instrumentalist. Born in 1977, he is professionally active since 1995.

In 2004 he obtained a degree in Literature/demo-ethno-anthtopological studies with a dissertation on ethnomusicology at “La Sapienza” University of Rome in parallel with the “University College of Cork” where he published a four-year in field research about the role of the guitar in Irish folk revival.

He composed for more than one hundred theatre shows, conducted by G. Strehler, G. Nardoni, A. Rheiner, and as many again short movies. He has been the solo artist and the responsible for PMCEnsemble performing works of Branca, Chatam, Reilly and presenting the world premiere of the minimalist icon Steve Reich’s work, “2×5”.

He wrote, directed and acted in several musical (Lady M, Divas, Romolo&Remo, etc.) in collaboration with R. Misiti, G. Mazza, A. Menenti, M. L. Compatangelo and others. He currently collaborates as arranger and session musician with the labels Lapidarie Incisioni, Monkey Studio, Ten People Town Studio and several indipendent organizations related to Rome’s music schools and to the original rock beside his trio group (Jack Viaggiante), the Circolo Chindred project with Simone Moscato, and the ska-rock band Yugo in Incognito. He teaches modern guitar and he’s responsible for the department “Musica d’insieme” in the Centro Ottava and the S.M.P. Neuma.

With the Simon&Garfunkel Tribute Band he celebrates the passion for a repertoire he grown up with, favouring simple and direct sounds of instruments such as mandolin, lap steel, tin whistle, and keeping as clean and dynamic as possible the sound of electric guitars in order to enhance the country style, still not corrupting his rock soul.
